On 9th June, local police in Sita Buldi conducted a rescue operation in an apartment complex to rescue 2 girls, Shana(23) and Preena(32). The Freedom Firm team in Nagpur heard about the rescue operation through a local TV channel. The team met the police inspector involved in the case and introduced him to Freedom Firm’s work. The local police, pleased with Freedom Firm’s track record in the region, handed over the criminal complaint copy to Freedom Firm. Our aftercare and legal team will follow up with the girls to ensure that they are given care and pursue their legal battles in court.
Social workers will conduct a thorough home investigation of the girls’ homes and conduct life skill classes to restore their dignity and enable them to earn their own livelihood.
