On 11th May 2023, we learned about a minor who was being exploited at a dera (village) in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh. Armed with evidence, we met the Superintendent of Police in Neemuch and requested him to initiate a raid to rescue the minor. After examining the evidence, he assigned the case to the Deputy  Superintendent of Police in Neemuch and ordered him to appoint a special task force to initiate the raid.

Taking care of Kara’s immediate needs

After a little more digging, we learned that the minor victim was afraid and did not want to take any customers.  After confirming the location of the victim, the special task force and our team proceeded to the victim’s location.

Collecting details from Kara

At 2:30 pm on 12th May, the police and our team raided the brothel and the minor victim was rescued.  The police arrested the brothel keeper after which they proceeded aInformation Report, FIR,  at the police station.

At the police station, the victim shared her details with the police who then registered the FIR ( relevant sections of the law were added to the FIR; PITA sections 3,5,6, IPC Act 370 and POCSO 3/17, which will add weightage when the case is tried in court.)
