Job Profile

  • Understand the law enforcement system and the legal system as it relates to crimes of sex-trafficking.
  • Investigate and identify minor girls who have been forced into prostitution.
  • Investigate perpetrators of forced prostitution including brothel keepers, managers, traffickers, pimps, brothel owners and tenants.
  • Concisely document all activities in the form of investigative reports and video audio recordings.
  • Supervise and develop informants, operatives and volunteers to conduct investigative and intervention tasks, as necessary.
  • Learn to operate and maintain all types of investigative equipment.
  • Support rescue operations by conducting under cover surveillance and intelligence gathering during the course of the operation.
  • Advocate to government authorities for enforcement action and advice, also accompanying such authorities during enforcement actions.
  • Work closely with the Freedom Firm Advocate throughout the process of a rescue operation to ensure all procedures are properly implemented. 
  • This position requires a minimum 10 days per month working away from home. 

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelors in any field/ Diploma or Degree in social work
  • Law enforcement, legal or social work experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Hindi (Marathi in Maharashtra and Bengali in Kolkata)
  • This position requires a willingness to travel for extended periods.

The successful candidate for this position will be street savvy and should  have some law enforcement or social work experience.
