Yesterday, Soha*, a 16-17 year old girl, was rescued during the successful raid of a brothel located in Pune’s infamous red-light district. The raid was conducted by Freedom Firm’s intervention team and local police officials capably led by Sanjay Nikam, Police Inspector in charge of the Social Service Branch, Pune.
Soha has been placed in a government shelter home for young girls, where she will remain until an age verification test is performed and a home investigation is done to ensure that she can return safely to her home.
Pray for Soha’s safety while she in the government shelter. Pray that we would be able to locate her family and return her to them. Pray for her healing and restoration to begin.
